All Original Kestner Baby Doll

This sweet all original Kestner baby doll is an unmarked mold number 143. She measures 14" tall. The back of her bisque is marked "Made In Germany".

She was originally wearing her long sheer cotton christening gown with inset lace around the bottom. Under her gown is a matching long slip. She also comes with her original matching bonnet. She retains her original plaster pate with short blond mohair wig. Her heavy feathered brown eyebrows with finely painted upper and lower lashes blend in perfectly with her brown sleep eyes. She has a sweet tiny mouth with two teeth showing. Her deep and perfect molding gives her the look of an older baby. She is on a fully jointed composition body that is stamped "Germany" on her lower back. Her body is fantastic with great patina. She is the perfect example showing before bent limbs were developed dolls on regular bodies were used as babies.

Because I know that some people just do not like to see the 143 Kestner as a baby I have changed her into antique cotton pantaloons, chemise and socks. Her pinafore is newer as is her blue bonnet and shoes. She is also shown in an additional white cotton antique bonnet! It's all up to you as to how you like her the best! Remember she will still come with her christening gown!

Condition: As great as you can get. Her bisque head is without any chips, cracks or repairs of any kind. She is without any repaint at all.

What a great doll to purchase and start your own wardrobe. How much fun that would be!
