Antique C.M. Bergmann Simon & Halbig Child Doll

This sweet C.M. Bergmann/Simon & Halbig child doll measures 30" tall. She has been a part of my family for a very long time. I have started to down size my doll collection and am now listing several of my bigger dolls.

Her deeply inscribed bisque head reads C.M. Bergmann/Simon & Halbig/13 1/2. She has stationary brown eyes, real upper eyelashes with finely painted brows and lower lashes. She has a beautiful molded face. When you run your finger over her brows you can feel how wonderfully molded they are. Her coral lips are open  showing her teeth. Her molding is done in such a way that she has a child like appearance. Her long human hair wig could possibly be original to her. I have never taken it off. She has pierced ears. Her body is ball jointed composition with a lighter patina.

She is wearing antique pantaloons, chemise, half petticoat, white leather shoes and lawn dress. Her dress is trimmed in open drawn work lace with her bodice made up of inset lace and pin tucks. Her dress closes in back with two pins. The red ribbon and earring have been with her since I first acquired her.

Condition: Great patina. Some crazing on arm. Please see picture. Bisque is without any chips, cracks or repairs of any kind. She does have slight ear flakes where earrings are. 

She is a beautiful doll looking forward to a new home. 

As with all of my items she comes from a smoke free home.
