25" Antique Handwerck Child Doll

This wonderful Handwerck doll is from circa 1885. She stands a great 25" tall.
She has a wonderful bisque socket head on a composition ball- jointed body.
Her bisque is beautiful with lovely soft and natural coloring. Her cheeks are nicely blushed showing off the dimple in her chin. She has blue open close eyes with upper and lower painted eyelashes. Her multi stroke light brown eyebrows are slightly molded and accent her real hair blond wig well. She has an open mouth with her teeth showing. Her lips are outlined with a nice coral full lip. She has pierced ears.
She is inscribed on the back of her head with the number 69-12/Germany/Handwerck/Halbig.
Her ball jointed body retains her wonderful patina. She is stamped Heinrich Handwerck, Germany and the number 4.
Her wig is a human hair wig and old. I really have no way of knowing if it's her original wig although that is how I acquired her.

Condition: Great! I would like to point out a few items. She does have a kiln crack behind one ear. Please see picture. This is not through her bisque. In antique dolls this is starting to be rather common. She does have some paint wear on her fingers. Again what I would consider normal. She has a small paint chip on her on ear. Please see picture.

She is wearing an antique silk bloused dress with a blue silk jacket. Her dress closed in back with hook and eyes. She has on antique pantaloons. Her socks, shoes and bonnet are replacements.
You will notice she only has earrings in one ear. That is how she came to me so I just kept her that way.
As with all of my items she comes from a smoke free home.
