Exceptional 16" Hertel Schwab Baby

What a beautiful 16" Hertel Schwab baby this is! You will notice from the pictures that I did not undress her as I usually do with all my dolls. I believe her outfit to be all original and it looks as if it has never been taken off of her. I decided not to cut the threads to open the back of the dress. I acquired her a long time ago at a doll show and she has been kept in a cabinet ever since.

Her bisque socket head is deeply inscribed with the number 152, circa 1920. Her blonde mohair baby wig is full and adds to her painted arched feathered brows, upper and lower lashes, open/close blue eyes, deeply molded nostrils and phellum, full two tone lips with an open mouth showing upper teeth with molded tongue. The molding on her face is done so perfectly you think it is a real baby! Just looking at her dimples and double chin makes you want to smile!

She is on a fantastic five piece bent leg baby body retaining her original patina.

Under her antique factory original navy blue swiss polka dot dress with red embroidered bib and collar is a full cotton muslin petticoat and cotton muslin diaper. Over her dress is a wool red cape. She has on a red cotton sailor type hat that matches her outfit perfectly. 

Condition: Perfect in every way! Her bisque head is without any chips, cracks or repairs of any kind. Her composition body is wonderful! I do want to mention that when I untied her cape part of the ribbon did rip off. I will include it in case you would like to sew it back on.   

As with all of my items she comes from a smoke free home.
