Antique German Pansy I Child Doll

This antique German Pansy child doll measures 24" tall. She has a 6 ball jointed composition and wood body. Her bisque head is stamped "Pansy/I/Germany". She has open/close blue eyes, feathered brows, painted upper and lower lashes, open mouth with four teeth showing. Pansy must have been one of the first out of the mold judging by the sharpness of the inscription on her head. Her complexion has wonderful coloring with just the perfect amount of blushing. Her mohair wig is a replacement. According to "The Collector's Encyclopedia Of Dolls" Volume Two by Coleman the Pansy dolls with the Roman numerals were made by Schoenau & Hoffmeister.    
She is wearing antique pantaloons, full petticoat, socks, boots and very vintage nautical type red and white dress. She comes with her sweet little baby doll.

 

Condition: Great. Her bisque is without any chips, cracks or repairs of any kind. Her body still retains the original patina and red lines around her fingers and toes.

 

As with all of my items she comes from a smoke free home.
