Antique Highland Mary China Head Circa 1880s

This antique Highland Mary China Head stands 7 1/2" tall. Her width is 3" wide at the base.
This wonderful antique China Head has had a new shoulder plate put on. Her face has never been touched. Just her shoulder plate.  I she looks as if she was made by Alt, Beck & Gottschalck but I do not know that for certain.
She can be used as she is or fixed to be a little more rounded in front.
She was an experiment on my part. For all of you learning how to fix dolls it's much easier if you have a body to mold the shoulder plate around.

Condition: OK. Fixed shoulder plate. Great face.

Her face has never been touched. She is a wonderful rare hair style with feathered wisps of hair around her face. Her cheeks are nice and rosy and her lips are closed with a darker line in-between her coral lips. Her eyes are blue with a white dot on the side of her black pupil.
She's actually a wonderful doll.
As with all of my items she comes from a smoke free home.
